Book Bio
A fan of beer since age eight, Mary Jane took her first swig of Schlitz perched upon her
steel worker daddy’s knee. Mother cried when her baby left Philadelphia for Athens to pursue higher education at the University of
Georgia. Whereas Mary Jane didn’t like grad school, she did fall in love with craft beer and her fun pizza parlor job managers who
eventually started the famed Brick Store Pub an hour down the road in Decatur. Mary Jane earned her masters degree in Speech
Communication and put it straight to work for her old pals on the floor of their Pub opening week (June 1997). As the 10th hired
server and a regular, Mary Jane has witnessed the Brick Store’s huge success and the transformation of a sleepy southern town to an award
winning city. Where Mary Jane touched many lives with her huge waitress smile, she continues to do so with the gift of her pen and spoken
word. Love at the Pub is her first book.
